After a long absence ... I'm back.

I know it's been a while but due to some computer, software, and camera challenges, I had given up on this blog. Plus I found facebook which consumed most of the time I would have spent on fixing the issues. But mostly I lost my creative groove and  I just don't like the quality of my pictures when I'm in a funk. So I only think it fitting that my first couple of pics after my long haitus be of  mushrooms. Because beauty can sometimes spring out of decay.  Enjoy :-)

Fall 2009 Part 1

This fall was fantastic. We were fortunate to get out for a couple of road trips. Here are a few pics from when we drove to the Lakes Region a few weeks back.

A couple of dear friends took me to Martha's Vineyard. I've nver seen so many rocking chairs! What fun we had. Here are a few shots from the weekend.

It's been a busy summer this year ... as it is most years. Not a lot of time to spend on photo's or blog pages. We did manage to make it to Acadia National Park this year. What a beautiful place Acadia is! I hope to get back there sometime soon ... in the off season. If you venture up there in the "on" season, I highly recommend going to as many of the Ranger programs the Park offers. I would also recommend booking a tour at the Sea Kayaking place on Cottage St ., Bar Harbor. We had a fantastic time all in all.

I apologize for the absence. My computer was on the blink again and with all the rain we've had it's been hard to get out and take some pictures lately. One thing good about all this ran is that the flowers are bountiful this year. Most of these shot's were around the Sugar Hill , New Hampshire. We drove around the area during the Lupine festival and stopped at Polly's Pancake Parlor for breakfast. I HIGHLY recommend you stop if you ever get the chance. There was a long wait but it was well worth it. The staff was wonderful and the food was great! Who knew there could be so many versions of a pancake.

Champney Falls trail

We finally made it out to the mountains this past weekend. My husband, son and I hiked up Champney Falls trail off of Kancamagus Highway. It was a nice trail ... a little difficult in a couple of spots due to ice and snow. I bet it's a really nice trail in the summer. We picked up a AMC map of 50 best easy to moderate day hikes at the Rangers station. My goal this summer is to hit no less than ten of these trails.
