The newest addition to the family

I haven't gotten out to take scenic photographs recently because it's been a little busy around here :-)

Grandbaby number six was born Nov 3, 2008. Isn't she beautiful?

Autumn in New Hampshire 2008

It's been a stellar year for color in New Hampshire this autumn. My only regret is that I've been to busy to go up to the mountains or lakes region to capture some of it. I did manage to see and capture some local beauty though. The first pic is on Lake St in Nashua N.H. . The next two are on River Rd in Hudson N.H.

One of my favorite spots on RT25 N.H.

Figured I'd upload another one of my favorite pics while the getting is good. This spot always turns my head when we're diving around the Lakes Region. This particular day we drove up RT109 and turned left onto RT25. There's just a hint that autumn is on it's way.

The White Mountains of New Hampshire

Ya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was finally able to upload a couple of more pics from our trip up to Mountains a few weeks ago. The Sled flower planter was taken not far from Adair Country Inn in Bethlehem N.H. The next pic is of a farm we passed ... I think we were still in Sugar Hill N.H. It was stormy weather that weekend. We camped out in the rain the night before. The next day was better but not great. The rain had stopped and the storm clouds just hovered over the mountain tops. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the shot's I got. I'm hoping to go back up to the Sugar Hill area this weekend. The sun is suppose to be out and the autumn foliage should be getting into swing right about now.

Pink Lilly Pad Flower

We finally made it up to the mountains this year. I caught sight of this beautiful pink flower on the pond in front of Adair Country Inn, Bethlehem New Hampshire. I've never seen a pink one before. The Adair Country Inn looks like a very nice place to stay. I would LOVE to spend a couple of day's there. It has that quaint old New England feel.

Lilly Pads

On the way to Jenness Beach, in Rye New Hampshire, we passed a marsh that was in full bloom today. Isn't it beautiful.

Back Yard Beauty

When I can't get out to take scenic photographs, I like to walk around my back yard looking for interesting things to photograph.

My tribute to Trees

Do you ever find yourself in a place that seems to nourish your body and soul? A feeling that goes beyond pleasure or delight. A place that seems to re energizes you? For some people it may be on the ocean or at the beach. For others it might be at the top of a mountain or with a group of people. For me, it’s amongst the trees. Sometimes I even see faces in the trees.

Profile Falls

Last weekends adventure was to Profile Falls in Bristol New Hampshire. This was a very nice place to stop. Just a short walk from the parking area gets you to the falls. There is a large picnic area here as well.

New Hampshire Seacoast

Last weekend, my husband, son and I hooked up with a couple of dear friends and went to Petey's (my favorite seafood restaurant located in Rye New Hampshire) . After dinner we drove south along the coast on Rt 1 A. We veered off the beaten path for a bit to check out a couple of old churches. Later we stopped at Hampton Harbor to enjoy the sunset .

Salisbury Beach State Reservation

One of our favorite beaches is Salisbury Beach in Massachusetts. The campground here is pretty nice. It's what I call "parking lot" camping, which I'm not very fond of, but it is nice to wake up and walk down to the beach area before the crowds come. I particularly love to visit pre or post season. We camped there this time last year and even though it was a bit windy and cold it was beautiful and quite. We even got to see the harbor seals out on Badger Rock. To bad I don't have a zoom lens. Here are a few shot's I got that weekend.

Sunrise, Sunset

Living on the east coast I have the privilege of enjoying the beautiful sunrises at the beach (if I can get out of bed early enough :-) When we went to Californian a couple of weeks ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to watch the sunset at the beach.

Crystal Cove California

I just got back from vacation and I wanted to share with you the place I enjoyed the most while I was there. These are photo's taken at the beach in Crystal Cove State Park which sits between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. It was the only stretch of undeveloped / non commercialized beach I saw while I was there. The Historic District was particularly quaint with a visitors center, a gift shop and the Beachcomber Cafe (which was pricey but very good). It was like stepping back in time when we got off the shuttle bus that took us from the Los Trancos parking area down to the Crystal Cove Historic District. If you are going to be in the area , I would highly recommend spending some time here.

Lake Winnipesaukee April 2008

It's been a while but we finally made it out for a road trip on Sunday. We drove up to Laconia for a craft fair. Afterwards we meandered down RT 11 and turned onto RT 28 up to Wolfeboro.
The ice on the lake is starting to melt. Just a couple more months and this lake will be teeming with boats and people everywhere.

Purple and White Iris

With spring weather just around the corner I though I would post a picture that would put me in the mood. According to the calender spring is here but when I look out the window the snow from this morning has turned to a cold and dreary rain.
This is the only white and purple iris I had in my garden a few springs ago. I don't even think I saw it come up last year. Good thing a photo can capture a moment forever :-)
